Taking steps in order to maximise support for all students
We recognise that students and staff cannot achieve their maximum potential if factors in their lives raise barriers and prevent individuals from optimising their potential. At St. Augustine’s we offer academic support to young people for whom the National Curriculum may be, at any given time, too challenging. This comprises intervention strategies, mentoring and alternative curriculum provision. Students are set realistic targets in their subject areas and will attend a Progress Day review with their tutor early in term two of the academic year.
