A reminder to all students (and staff) especially as the weather gets warmer. Please ensure that you have a water bottle with you at all times, drinking from it and filling it throughout the day. It’s so important that you’re hydrated. Reception are seeing so many students who are saying they have a headache which is due to lack of water. Every member of the school (including staff) should have a water bottle with them. 9 Likes

Thank you. A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to the uniform sales on Friday and Saturday. We made £939.89 for FoStA funds which will be used to benefit the students in the college. Thank you, too, to all who donated uniform, we couldn't run these sales without you! PLEASE do donate any saleable uniform you don't need any more, our stocks are very low (eg we only have one girls blazer) and we want to have another sale in July. All donations welcomed at reception in a bag marked for FoStA. The school would also like to say a huge thank you to FoStA who give up their time to support the school. This is just one of the ways. 2 Comments 15 Likes
Good luck to our 30 young athletes who are today trialling in the West Wiltshire County Trials. This is a really important event, as it is the first step to making the national team. Who knows where after - maybe we have another Olympian on our hands! 4 Comments 33 Likes

www.st-augustines.wilts.sch.ukWhat an exciting week. We have said farewell to Year 13 and today to Year 11. Please see the photo in the Gazette - link attached. They looked as though they were having so much fun and the singing from the hall during their assembly gave those listening goosebumps. Year 11, good luck in your exams, we hope to see you back in September. We would also love each and every one of our leavers to join our alumni. Please email alumni@sta.cc to give us permission to contact you and stay in-touch. We’d love to hear how you’re doing in the future. 18 Likes
Photos from St Augustine's Catholic College's postThank you to Dr Buchard for taking four Y10 students to the Salters’ Festival of Chemistry at the University of Bristol yesterday. The students attended an inspirational talk by Dr Jonathan Charmant about the innovative research that Chemist’s at the University are carrying out to improve the quality of our lives. They then spent time in the undergraduate laboratories and synthesised their own sample of aspirin. The day ended with a careers panel and they got to ask questions about potential careers in chemistry such as being a teaching fellow or a patent attorney. 13 Likes
