On Friday 14th June, nearly a third of Year visited the Progressive Synagogue in Bristol. The purpose of the visit was to help students in their GCSE study of Judaism. Students were guided around the Synagogue, noting its features and the importance of these in worship. We hope to run this trip annually, readying students in their understanding of the Jewish history and its important place in UK society.
And… just a week later, the RE department once again took all of Year 7 to Glastonbury Abbey and Tor for a very successful 5th pilgrimage. The fact it was a beautiful midsummer’s day and glorious sunshine aided us on our purposeful walk to the Tor after our comprehensive and entertaining guide to the Abbey had taken place.
Our thanks to Mr Steeds for organising both trips.
