Teacher of Girls’PE
Part time (0.5fte approximately), permanent MPS 1-6 or UPS
Required for an April 2019 start, an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join the PE Department at St Augustine’s. The successful applicant would have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of this thriving Department.
The successful candidate will teach in a supportive environment and the role is open to either an experienced or a newly qualified teacher, although proficiency at teaching AQA GCSE and A Level PE would be a distinct advantage. The role requires candidates to have a specialism in dance, trampolining, gymnastics and/or health-related fitness activities. If successful you will be required to be committed to delivering and developing the department’s extra-curricular programme while promoting it’s role in ‘lifelong participation in health-promoting physical activity’.

The Department is housed in a purpose built building having excellent facilities. If you join as an NQT you will be part of an established and extensive NQT programme, benefiting from the support and expertise of mentors including Lead Practitioners and will be able to continue developing your pedagogy through accessing our SSAT and TEEP training programmes. In addition to this your bespoke induction programme would include courses delivered through a local collaboration of schools, the Clifton diocese and the international network of Lasallian schools.
