This year’s St. Augustine’s Half Price Book Fair, has broken all sales records, raising more than £1100 over four days. The Fair was run by four teams of Year 12 Economics students taking part in an “Apprentice”-style Challenge, with each team allocated responsibility for one day’s sales. The narrow winners of the team competition, (comprising Matthew Wiltshire 12M, Natasha Lesiakowska 12M, Vanessa Ryan 12C, Anes Joseph 12C and Matthew Whitehead 12B ) sold £300 of books, stationery and posters. Our thanks to all who purchased from the Fair, all the Year 12 Economics ‘Apprentices’ and also the Library Prefects who were invaluable in helping Mrs Daniel manage the enthusiastic crowds. Thanks to library prefects Georgian Henwood 12F, Harrison Pow-Jones 12T and Elissa Simmons 12T who worked extra lunch duties. The library has a box of new books from the Book fair !
