Term 2’s parental newsletter is now available for History students!
This time we have the usual areas of what we are learning about in Year 10 and Year 11 along with questions you can ask at home to support and further their learning. Additionally, we have highlighted GCSE Pod as a revision resource for students.
In the History department, we have been focusing on character traits for success, and students have been nominated by their History teacher for exemplifying these traits in lessons.
A particular congratulations to those Year 11 students who got 100% in their knowledge recall test for Term 1:
Germany (/80)- Luca Benge, Daisy Braidley, Harrison Bright, Daisy Craddock, Haley Evans, Anya Huggett, Aine Jarvis, Heidi Laverty, Ruth Perera, Savio Stephen, Judetta Whyte, Caitlin Wykes. Cohort Average mark- 58 (72%)
Conflict and Tension (/97)- Harrison Bright, Elizabeth Cadell, Haley Evans, Ruth Perera, Dominic Shearn, Judetta Whyte. Cohort Average mark- 59 (59%)
We hope this list will grow with this term’s results. The knowledge recall tests for each topic really help in remembering key knowledge. Year 10 have been working hard on the first sections of the Germany knowledge recall test too.
Students can access the newsletter on the resources drive, and parents will have been sent this via email.
