Students and teachers in the MFL Department had a very enjoyable week, celebrating the European Day of Languages. This is an annual event on 26th September, which recognises the rich diversity of languages in Europe and the benefits of language learning. Year 7 students produced some amazing European hats and impressed us with many interesting facts about their chosen countries. Year 8 students did some excellent research on European artists and designers. Year 9 students found out about jobs requiring language skills and some multilingual celebrities and Year 10 students had a go at teaching their class some phrases in another language.
Well done to all our students who demonstrated some excellent creativity and research skills. We look forward to celebrating it again next year!
