When approaching what I believe to be the most important aspects of life at St Augustine’s Catholic College, there are many things to consider, primarily being the purpose of attendance at school. In broad terms the purpose of attending school should be to attain a worthwhile education. This is something that St Augustine’s does exceptionally through its teaching, pastoral care and vocational guidance. The wealth of knowledge at the fingertips of every single student is what makes St Augustine’s, not the finished product of education, but the catalyst for intellectual revelation. But personally the most important aspect of life at St Augustine’s Catholic College is the attention it gives to upholding the wellbeing of its students. This is done not only by facilitating the humane uniqueness of all the students, but by promoting it. Over the past 6 years this college has alluded me to opportunities and experiences which have shaped my person in light of the messages of the Gospels and helped me to recognise the honesty required to be a good citizen for the world in the 21st century.
