St Augustine’s Sixth Form is a Catholic community where the approach to the development of each individual is shaped by our Christian values. We believe that academic excellence and spiritual realisation lie at the heart of who we are as a gospel-driven community.
We believe that education should be student centred and we challenge our young people to become active, inquiring, critical and open minded thinkers. We encourage all students, regardless of their background or ability, to be responsible and to live a life of integrity and service.
We aim to provide an environment which nurtures academic achievement and prepares students with the necessary skills for post-18 careers and higher education. In return we expect our students to conduct themselves in a professional, mature and studious manner.
Where each student is encouraged and challenged to develop and achieve their gifts
At St Augustine’s we strive for academic excellence by unlocking the potential in each individual student. Our academic courses, combined with our extensive extra-curricular programme, aim to equip our students with the necessary skills to excel in a 21st century society. Our highly dedicated and committed teaching staff is guided by the La Sallian philosophy that teaching is a ministry of grace; the teachers invest time, energy and enthusiasm into their teaching and expect the same of our learners.
There is something for everyone at St Augustine’s, from participating in whole school productions to running your own club or society. We are lucky enough to study in a happy, friendly and fun environment. We look forward to welcoming you to our school. Come and discover St Augustine’s for yourself.
