What a wonderful evening. Students, staff and parents enjoyed the first Design Show at St Augustine’s Catholic College and it was a fantastic night. The finished products on display demonstrated the creativity and skill of our students. The theme of the evening was the future and we were treated to some interesting food from our Year 10 Food Technology students, chocolate covered crickets and flap jacks- the super foods of the future. The fashion show was stunning and it showcased the high standards of our textile students with outfits fit for London Fashion Week. Graphic Products and Resistance Materials students produced products that combined function with stylish design and we had numerous enquiries about product availability and some orders being placed.
The Design Awards recognised the highest achievements in each discipline and the standard of work was outstanding. I would like to thank all the students and staff involved for their hard work and the Photography Club for their wonderful photographs from the night.
