On Thursday 18th June all of Year 7 went on the very first St. Augustine’s Glastonbury Pilgrimage.
Firstly, students took part in workshops at Glastonbury Abbey, learning about the dissolution of the monasteries under the reign of Henry VIII, myths and legends and life in the Abbey.
Then we all had lunch before taking part in our own pilgrimage where we ascended the Tor.
Once at the top of the Tor each group made their own decade of the Rosary and we all prayed together, remembering all those who have been martyred for their faith.
We had a superb day and fantastic weather.
